Abstract

Bridging the gap between academia and industry is essential in preparing future management professionals. The HR Domain, in association with IQAC, M P Birla Institute of Management, organized an insightful expert talk on "Academia to Industry – Mastering Recruitment, Workplace Readiness & Performance Management" on 22 July 2026. The session was delivered by Mr. Hariharan M, Talent Acquisition Specialist at Capgemini, MPBIM alumnus, founder of AGNITIO – The HR Club, researcher, and author. Drawing from his extensive industry experience, he shared practical insights into corporate recruitment, ATS-friendly resume building, LinkedIn optimization, HR interview preparation, recruiter expectations, and the performance management cycle. Students gained valuable knowledge on developing industry-ready skills, enhancing their professional presence, and preparing confidently for campus placements and future careers. The interactive discussion and real-world examples made the session highly engaging and impactful, inspiring students to continuously strengthen both their technical and interpersonal competencies.
