Abstract
The industrial visit to the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) provided valuable insights into the large-scale operations of a cooperative dairy organization. During the visit, students observed various stages of milk processing, including collection, pasteurization, homogenization, packaging, and quality testing. The tour highlighted KMF’s use of advanced machinery and strict hygiene protocols to ensure product quality and safety. Officials explained the cooperative structure of KMF, its role in supporting rural dairy farmers, and the wide distribution network under the brand “Nandini.” The visit offered practical exposure to supply chain management, quality control, and marketing strategies within the dairy industry, bridging the gap between theoretical learning and industrial practice.
