Work Life Realities and Personality Diversity Indicator

Abstract

The contemporary workplace is characterised by increasing diversity in employee backgrounds, expectations, personalities, values and approaches to work. Employees experience the same organisational environment differently because their perceptions and responses are influenced by individual personality characteristics, work expectations, social relationships and personal circumstances. In this context, the Work-Life Realities and Personality Diversity Indicator (WLR-PDI) provides a conceptual framework for understanding how personality diversity interacts with everyday workplace realities. Mr. Bhaskar conducted a practical assessment on different types of personality as part of the session on Work-Life Realities and Personality Diversity Indicator. The assessment provided students with an opportunity to understand their own personality characteristics and recognise the differences in personality traits among individuals. Through the practical assessment, students explored how personality influences workplace behaviour, communication, teamwork, leadership, decision-making and responses to different work situations. The activity encouraged students to reflect on their individual strengths, areas for improvement and preferred ways of interacting with others.
