Hands-on Dash Board Creation and Data Visualization 2026

Abstract

The Business Analytics Club – Metamates at M.P. Birla Institute of Management An IQAC Initiative successfully hosted its flagship activity, “Microsoft Power BI Dashboard Creation and Data Visualization”, on 04 June 2026 at Session Hall 2. The session was conducted by Amruth Sagar.M, IV semester Business Analytics specialization student, who guided participants through a practical learning journey. Beginning with dataset extraction from Kaggle, students explored the step by step process of uploading, transforming, and modeling data in Microsoft Power BI. The workshop highlighted interactive features such as slicing, dicing, charts, and buttons, enabling participants to design dynamic dashboards. The session concluded with a MCQ based assessment, reinforcing key concepts and evaluating student learning outcomes. Participants described the workshop as a unique and enriching experience, gaining valuable exposure to real world analytics tools and visualization techniques. This initiative reflects the Business Analytics –Meta Mates Club’s commitment to fostering applied learning and equipping students with industry relevant skills.
